Denobula is a planet and the homeworld of the Denobulan species. Located in the Denobula Triaxa system, the planet has a single large, inhabited continent.

The planet is heavily populated, with approximately twelve billion inhabitants in 2152. (ENT: "The Catwalk") The cities are quite crowded by necessity, though Phlox noted that the atmosphere was "vibrant, communal". (ENT: "Doctor's Orders")

In 2152, Phlox requested information on Pa'nar Syndrome from the Vulcan Doctor Yuris, claiming it was on behalf of a colleague on Denobula studying thymic sclerosis. (ENT: "Stigma")

In 2153, a group of Denobulan scientists studied a system of caves on the planet Xantoras, seeking to avert seismic disasters on Denobula. (ENT: "The Breach")

Manny Coto has said that if Star Trek: Enterprise had gone into a fifth season, Enterprise would have visited Denobula.

Presumably, Denobula is a Class M planet, since Phlox and other Denobulans have no difficulties with the atmosphere on board Enterprise.

Given the positive relationship Denobula had with Earth and Vulcan and the presence of a Denobulan ambassador at the foundation of the Coalition of Planets, Denobula probably joined the Federation after it was chartered in 2161. However, the prevalence of genetic engineering among Denobulans surely presented an obstacle to Federation membership and service in Starfleet. (ENT: "Borderland")

There is an actual star called Denebola, thirty-six light years from Earth, in the constellation Leo.
