Derek Charm is a comic book artist based out of Seattle, Washington. He attended school in San Francisco, majoring in 2-D animation and illustration.
He moved to Seattle after his graduation and worked on a number of art shows, while also publishing in several small press comic anthologies. He began working with IDW Publishing in late 2013 writing and contributing art to the Powerpuff Girls. His next project was Super Secret Crisis War! for which he contributed the interior artwork and covers.
In 2015, he produced his first piece of Star Trek art, a retro-inspired subscribers cover for Star Trek: Ongoing #47: "Tholian Web, Part 2". He was also the main artist, doing interior artwork and covers, for all five issues of the Star Trek: Starfleet Academy miniseries.
