Template:Realworld Dick Brownfield worked on special effects throughout the run of Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation. When The Next Generation ended, he moved on to Star Trek: Voyager and worked on the first four seasons of the show. He was also the special effects coordinator for the 1996 video game Star Trek: Borg.
Captain Brownfield was named for him and appeared on a number of dedication plaques for various starships.
