Template:Sidebar character Donatra was an officer in the Romulan military, commander of the warbird IRW Valdore.

Highly attractive and in possession of a cunning intellect, Commander Donatra joined Commander Suran in supporting Praetor Shinzon's coup d'etat of the Romulan Senate in 2379. She expressed an interest in Shinzon, perhaps with political motivations, but was rebuffed. Donatra subsequently learned that Shinzon was dying, and convinced Suran that they could no longer afford to support him.

Donatra and another warbird assisted the Federation starship USS Enterprise-E in its battle with Shinzon's Reman warbird Scimitar. During an in-battle communication, Captain Picard promised to buy Donatra a drink of Romulan ale after Shinzon was defeated. Donatra's ship was disabled, but her assistance proved crucial in preventing Earth's population from being annihilated by Shinzon's thalaron weapon. After Shinzon's death and the destruction of the Scimitar, she and her crew were instrumental in lending aid to the badly-damaged Enterprise, also assuring Picard that he had made a friend that day. (Star Trek Nemesis)

Donatra was played by Dina Meyer and was named by screenwriter John Logan for his friend Donna Branson, whose name he also used for Branson.
In novels such as Star Trek: Destiny Donatra leads the breakaway Imperial Romulan State in opposition to Tal'aura.
In Star Trek Online, the Romulans reunify in 2385 following Tal'aura's assassination, with Donatra in control of the military and abolishing Reman slavery. She is missing, presumed dead, following the supernova of 2387.
