The Edosian suckerfish was a water-dwelling creature native to the Edosian homeworld. The fish resembled the catfish of Earth and was valued by 22nd century doctors, including Phlox, for its alleged medicinal purposes.
In 2370, William T. Riker played the Chef of the 22nd century starship Enterprise NX-01 in a holodeck simulation. While playing the role, he hoped to cook Edosian suckerfish for Charles Tucker III, whose favorite meal was catfish.
