The English Channel was a body of water that links the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea together between the south west tip of England and north west France on Earth.

In Miles O'Brien and Julian Bashir's holoprogram of the Battle of Britain, the character Clive crashed his airplane into the Channel. (DS9: "Homefront", "Accession", "Looking for par'Mach in All the Wrong Places")
