In 2259, this shuttle was piloted by Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu to a volcano on the planet Nibiru. While hovering over the volcano, Spock ziplined to the caldera of an erupting volcano. The shuttle was damaged by the volcano. (Star Trek Into Darkness)
