Torso and facial molds
A epidermal mold describes a piece of molding technology used in the process of forming the outer skin, or epidermis, of a Soong-type android. The components of the mold include the head, arms, legs, and torso. The mold had the additional function of smoothing the texture of the epidermis.
When Data placed an epidermal mold over his face and it fit, Geordi La Forge said, "It's you, Data." (TNG: "Datalore")
