Epsilon Canaris III was the third planet in the Epsilon Canaris system. This was an inhabited planet.
In 2267, Assistant Commissioner Nancy Hedford was dispatched there to prevent the outbreak of war. The commissioner developed Sakuro's Disease and had to be evacuated; subsequent events made her return impossible, and necessitated the assignment of another mediator. (TOS: "Metamorphosis")
According to Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I"), Epsilon Canaris III was listed as a member planet of the Federation in 2378.
