The Epsilon Silar system was an uninhabited star system. In 2368, the Satarrans lured the USS Enterprise-D to the system with a signal that seemed to indicate intelligent life in the system, for the purpose of manipulating the crew to fight in their war against the Lysian Alliance. (TNG: "Conundrum")
