Falor is the subject of the Vulcan tale of enlightenment Falor's Journey.
According to the tale, Falor was a prosperous merchant who crossed the Voroth Sea to reach the shores of Raal. There he met with old Vulcan master T'Para, and she offered him truth. Not accepting this truth, Falor traveled across the Fire Plains to the monks of Kir. When they could not offer him the wisdom he sought, he journeyed back home. After telling the stories of his adventures, he finally gained true wisdom. (VOY: "Innocence")
