Emergency Medical Android

The Voyager Encounter's Emergency Medical Android in a fictional 2374

Several fictional Starfleet uniforms were created by individuals, cultures, or civilizations for works of fiction or acts of deception. They were usually based on real Starfleet uniforms.

Examples include the illusion created by Barash in 2367, and The Voyager Encounter exhibit at the Kyrian Museum of Heritage in the 31st century. (TNG: "Future Imperfect"; VOY: "Living Witness")

24th century[]

Barash's illusion[]

William Riker, 2383

An illusory Captain Riker in a fictional 2383

In 2367, Barash trapped Commander William T. Riker in a holographic illusion set in the year 2383. (TNG: "Future Imperfect")

Duty uniform[]

Barash's Enterprise-D Ferengi

An illusory Ferengi ensign in a fictional 2383

Fictional duty uniforms in this era were very similar to the ones worn in 2367. (TNG: "Future Imperfect")

Flag officer's uniform[]

An illusory Admiral Picard in a fictional 2383

A new flag officer's uniform was worn by the illusory Admiral Jean-Luc Picard. (TNG: "Future Imperfect")

Rank insignia[]

All illusory uniforms lacked the rank pips present on the collar of the 2367 uniforms. Instead, rank was indicated by different sets of bars behind the combadge. (TNG: "Future Imperfect")

Dala, Mobar, and Zar[]

Dala in Starfleet uniform

Dala as "Captain Janeway" in 2376

In 2376, Dala, Mobar, and Zar posed as Captain Kathryn Janeway, Lieutenant Commander Tuvok, and Commander Chakotay, respectively, of the USS Voyager. Their uniforms were very similar to the 2371 uniforms worn by the Voyager crew.

One notable exception was the overshirt collar, which was wider than on Starfleet uniforms. Also notable were their oversized rank insignia and combadges. (VOY: "Live Fast and Prosper")

Rank insignia[]

Although Dala referred to Mobar's disguise as "Commander Tuvok", it was common for lieutenant commanders to be referred to as simply "commander", and he wore Tuvok's typical lieutenant commander rank insignia.

Crisis Point II: Paradoxus[]

Bucephalus Dagger

Ensign Boimler portraying Captain Bucephalus Dagger in 2381

In 2381, Ensign Brad Boimler of the USS Cerritos created the holo-novel program Crisis Point II: Paradoxus, a sequel to Beckett Mariner's Crisis Point: The Rise of Vindicta from the year before. Boimler cast himself and his friends as the command staff of the Sovereign-class USS Wayfarer, which had a distinct uniform style. This uniform was primarily based on the design first used in 2373, but featured a prominent white stripe between the blue-gray shoulder area and the rest of the uniform, which was black; the stripe resembled that of the uniform style normally used on the Cerritos at the time. (LD: "Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus")

31st century[]

The Voyager Encounter[]

Chakotay, Kyrian hologram

The Voyager Encounter Chakotay in a fictional 2374

In the 31st century, acting on incomplete information, the Kyrian Museum of Heritage attempted to recreate what they deemed the warship Voyager, and her crew's acts of plunder, in 2374.

The duty uniforms were slightly different than the ones present on the 2371 version worn by the Voyager crew. These uniforms lacked rank insignia and a combadge, and had a black undershirt, as well as black gloves. Corrections were made later by the EMH backup module. (VOY: "Living Witness")
