Siskos house model

Jake Sisko adds the roof to a model of his father's house in 2375

Kendra Province, 2375

The land where Sisko planned to build his house

Sisko's house was a planned dwelling that Benjamin Sisko intended to build in Bajor's Kendra Province after the end of the Dominion War for his retirement.

Sisko had planned to build a home there as early as 2374. He explained to William Ross that, even if Starfleet assigned him elsewhere, his home would still be on Bajor. (DS9: "Favor the Bold")

In late 2375, Sisko was on Bajor, attending a conference in Rakantha Province, when Vedek Oram invited him to his monastery. The Bajoran sun was setting over the mountains in Kendra and Sisko realized that he had found the location for his home. Sisko later bought twelve hecapates of land there.

Inspired and worried by Worf and Ezri Dax's disappearance, Sisko began to build a model of the house. The planning of the house also persuaded him to propose to Kasidy Yates. Later, when he canceled the wedding due to the warnings of Sarah Sisko, he realized the house meant nothing without Kasidy. (DS9: "Penumbra", "'Til Death Do Us Part") The model appeared to incorporate the native Bajoran style.

Several weeks later, after Sisko went missing after traveling to Bajor, Jake Sisko suggested that his father may have gone to the land in Kendra where he planned to build his house. After it was subsequently revealed that Sisko had joined the Prophets in the Celestial Temple, Jake added the roof to the model of the house. (DS9: "What You Leave Behind")

In the DS9 relaunch novels, Kasidy builds the house on Bajor for her and her child to live in. When Sisko returns, as he had promised, he joins his wife and daughter in the completed house.
