Finnea Prime was the main planet in the Finnea system. This was a non-Federation planet and a colony world or homeworld of the Finnean species.
Life on Finnea was not considered easy. However, the planet had technology sufficient to allow for the implantation of dataports. Some females on the planet were given dataports in order to become net-girls.
According to memories implanted in the Idanian operative Arissa, one learned not to trust the police on Finnea, who evidently had a low threshold of evidence required leading to imprisonment.
The planet's economy apparently featured the use of money, and the world was believed to have been a base of operations for Draim of the Orion Syndicate. (DS9: "A Simple Investigation")
Background
In the script of "A Simple Investigation", the two green-skinned thugs working for Draim were identified as Finneans. However, Arissa and Odo reviewed the security recordings of the station airlocks for suspicious persons possibly related to Draim and found nothing. One would presume that Finneans showing up on the station would have aroused their interest. Further, Arissa (who appeared Human) supposedly grew up on Finnea. Finally, the Idanian operative Tauvid Rem who was murdered by the thugs did not give the appearance of concern we might expect at having two Finneans show up at his door on DS9, given the situation.
