Foley

Lieutenant Foley was a male Human officer assigned to ship security aboard the starship USS Enterprise-D in 2366.

Late that year, Lt. Foley assisted an Enterprise search party in gathering clues as to the kidnapping of Commander William T. Riker, Deanna Troi, and Lwaxana Troi, mother of Deanna, on Betazed. He would recover from a pond a specimen of the plant Zan Periculi, a clue which proved valuable in closing the case by identifying the offending party as Ferengi and the eventual release of the kidnappees.
