Forest of Forever

The Forest of Forever

The "Forest of Forever" was a fictional forest and the fairy tale setting for The Adventures of Flotter series of children's holoprograms. This is where colorful characters like Flotter and Trevis (representations of natural elements or forces of nature) helped teach deductive reasoning skills. Stories set within the Forest of Forever included "Flotter and the Tree Monster", "Trevis and the Terribly Twisted Trunk", and "Flotter, Trevis, and the Ogre of Fire". (VOY: "Once Upon a Time", "Counterpoint")

Naomi Wildman actress Scarlett Pomers was wowed by the realism of the set for the Forest of Forever, which she called "amazing" in a 2015 interview. Pomers continued, "I'm still blown away thinking about it. Nowadays [...] they'd probably do it all green screen, but this wasn't. All that stuff was there." (Star Trek Magazine issue 179, p. 64)
