User:Throwback is currently changing a great many articles to state that their topic is "presumably located in the Alpha quadrant". See Special:Contributions/Throwback.
Is he correct in doing that? Shouldn't information either be a fact or not be added to articles at all? I also added a comment to Talk:Sector 30 before noting that this change wasn't the only one. -- 62.158.250.140 15:22, November 8, 2012 (UTC)
- No, you're right... we shouldn't be adding assumptions (or presumptions) to articles. If it's not stated somewhere, it shouldn't be added to the article. Even in the background section, there should be some non-canon or production source for the entry... not just assumptions. -- Renegade54 (talk) 15:38, November 8, 2012 (UTC)
