I just wanted some advice on whether to create a book article. In short, I have a book which was written by David S. Cohen called Screen Plays - How 25 Scripts Made it to a Theater Near You - For Better or Worse. In it, Cohen looks at the writing process for various Hollywood films with interviews with the major players involved. This part has nothing to do with Star Trek, however, in his introduction chapter, he does talk quite candidly about the two episodes he wrote for Deep Space Nine, "Destiny" and "Crossfire", some of which I have included in the appropriate articles as background information. My question is, while technically not a Star Trek reference work - official or otherwise - would it be acceptable to create a Memory Alpha article on it as it does explain the writing process behind these episodes and it would allow for internal linking in the citation (which currently does not link to anything). Does a book have to be solely on Star Trek for it to be considered for an article here? --| TrekFan Open a channel 16:41, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

No, the whole book doesn't have to be Trek-related in order to create an article on the book. See NBC: America's Network for an example of a non-Trek book with a chapter that *is* relevant. There are others as well, just none that come to mind right off. -- Renegade54 (talk) 17:38, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

Interesting. I think I'll do that then. Thanks, Renegade, for clarifying that. --| TrekFan Open a channel 20:06, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

For reference, in case anybody is interested, the new article is up at the following link: Screen Plays: How 25 Scripts Made it to a Theater Near You - For Better or Worse. Thanks! --| TrekFan Open a channel 22:11, May 6, 2015 (UTC)
