I don't know if this has been brought up, but toggling enhanced recent changes doesn't work -- at last, not for people who are not logged in or do not have a username yet. You hit toggle and it just reloads the page... untoggled. Just bringing the issue to everyone's attention. -- From CNU with Love

You can toggle it successfully if you are logged in. If you are not logged in, no setting change you make has any effect, as far as I know. This probably has something to do with how Wikia handles settings Wikia wide or by cookies, needing to save settings to a username. --OuroborosCobra talk 19:34, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, it's a bad design. The option should not be visible to people who can't use it. Otherwise they click it and nothing happens - "your site is broken!" they think. And there's not even any helpful status message explaining the reason for the failure and how one can work around it. TribbleFurSuit 00:46, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

I agree with TribbleFurSuit. I think the link should be removed or hidden for those who are not logged in... or, better yet, maybe we can do away with the enhanced rc altogether? :D --From Andoria with Love 05:54, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

I like enhanced RC :P. But yeah, for not-logged-in-people, it'd probably be better to remove such links entirely. But from what I read above this is a Wikia-wide thingy? -- Harry talk 12:19, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you're talking about. I just tried this while being logged out, and the link to "Hide/Show enhanced recent changes" did what it is supposed to do. :) -- Cid Highwind 10:49, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
It works sometimes, other times you must click 10 or 20 times before it takes. If you remember how this came to exist, Jimmy Wales ordered that enhanced be set as the default. Several people from MA, as well as Wikia staff didn't like it and wanted it changed back, but it was a supreme directive and the best they could do is add this link to allow it to be changed by a user who wasn't logged in every time he visited. I hope that we can at least keep the link; I'd rather just have the default set to regular RC. --Bp 00:14, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Dude, stop being so angry all the time. --Bp (mirror) 05:13, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
