Does anyone know if there will ever be another Star Trek show? I love these shows and I think they should make more!

There are currently no plans for another Star Trek series following the low ratings of Star Trek: Enterprise that led to that show's cancellation in 2005. However, there is currently a new film in production, despite the disappointing box office results of the last film. If this next film is successful, then Paramount Pictures may consider doing another series. --From Andoria with Love 17:32, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
That reminds me about the No More Trek commercial for Enterprise :) --User:81.226.253.79 15:50, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
The new movie is probably going to flop for one reason or another, and spell the end of Trek as we know it. It is now the only hope for t Continuation of the franchise. However, if it turns out to work, and paramount hires some new writers, All will be well.--FullPraxis 21:16, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Actually, the next movie has already gained an enormous amount of buzz... and it's still two years away from being released. Nemesis didn't have anywhere near this amount of hype in its entire promotional run. This almost guarantees that the new film will at least do some decent business, especially if it has anything to do with Kirk and Spock as rumored, in which case you'll not only have the die-hard fans and fans of the original series going, but the curious moviegoers as well. Then, of course, there are the J.J. Abrams fans... I smell a hit, myself, although maybe not a huge smash, but it should serve to reinvigorate the franchise. I just wish they would involve somebody from the past Trek productions (Mike Sussman, Manny Coto, Rick Berman, Ronald D. Moore, Brannon Braga, whoever) to ensure that canon isn't trodded upon. I know Abrams is a fan of TOS and TNG, and reportedly has the DVDs from all the series, but he has confessed to not having payed too much attention to DS9, VOY, and ENT... which kinda worries me. But we'll see, I guess. --From Andoria with Love 21:41, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

People have said throughout the franchise that this movie or that will kill Star Trek as we know it. I know people said it for Final Frontier, Nemesis, and Generations. The old fan clubs before The Motion Picture might have said this as well before it came out. As long as the fans and sites like this keeps the fan flames smoldering it won't really die. I would like to see another series and think we will see more in the future. As for this flick I'm keeping an open mind. J.J. Abrams does good work. I'd have love to see Manny Coto helm one and maybe that too will come about in the future.-- Andorian sushi 15:04, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

I'd love to see another Star Trek series (one after Voyager, probably) that doesn't suck (not Enterprise, in other words). Enterprise was trying too hard to be like all those crime shows that are on nowadays, through filming techniques and characters (Archer was boring, and trying to be Neo. The shots were too dark). They should take a look back at TNG, DS9 and Voyager, make shows that are relatively interesting to watch instead! --– Tranchera 10:37, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
