I don't know if this has been covered, but I couldn't find anything on it.

I know we are allowed to upload remastered pictures to replace the original images from Star Trek TOS, but I was wondeing if it would be ok to upload some files from Startrek.com of remastered footage while we wait for DVD releases. The conflict is that MA has strict policy on using startrek.com material, and I was wondering if an exception like this could be made.

Most of the images for season 1 can be replaced when the DVD set comes out. (I'll do it myself if I have to :)). But I do think using images from startrek.com is a better choice that tv broadcast images.

For example. Here is an image from "Tomorrow is Yesterday" which can be found on startrek.com.

I don't see any problems with it for illustrative purposes other than it's from the startrek website.

I am sorry to be a bother if this has been brought up, but if it hasn't, I think we can make an exception to the rule this time round.

This comes up on a regular basis. We can't use them until the episode airs, and the image can be captured from that airing. -- Sulfur 01:25, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
I don't think I quite understand your logic. I am indeed refering to aired episodes. Also, if we can't get them off the mainstream website, would you please give a reason as to why. Just curious as we do have an occasional image here or there from Startrek.com. -Nmajmani 01:32, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
