- It doesn't relate to on-screen canon, at least not directly. We do have realworld pages on Star Trek model kits like the ones mentioned above. Also, in a number of instances commercial Star Trek model kits were used by the production folks to produce ship models subsequently used in filming episodes, which is valid background information for an episode.
