This just occured to me as I was going through some articles. Scott Jaeck, the guy who played Lieutenant Commander Cavit in "Caretaker" was never credited for his role in the episode, even though he had as many, if not more, lines than some of the other minor actors - Jeff McCarthy comes to mind. - It is not really strange. Some actors do this as a favor for friends in the production team (directors, writers, producers, etc.), some would love to have a role in a production and do this job as a "fan", and some are just "not amused" about their role/part/final project and ask to remove their name from the credits. – Tom 00:51, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah I guess that could be the case too. Though, you would think the smart thing to do would be to keep you credit, because, if I'm right, doesn't every credit you get go towards some actors guild membership or something? -- TrekFan Talk 13:06, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
- When you're a member of the Screen Actor's Guild its a different thing. Then this wouldn't work. When you're trying to get a SAG membership you've only worked in background and featured parts before.
