Provisional categories don't work. This has been said a few times already, and I'm of the opinion that we should either scrap them. It's an unnecessary level of bureaucracy, and since categories aren't locked, there's no reason to point out that the contents can change. This is a wiki after all. - Archduk3 15:15, February 11, 2011 (UTC)

I agree. –Cleanse ( talk | contribs ) 00:27, February 12, 2011 (UTC)
I also agree. --31dot 00:32, February 12, 2011 (UTC)
Either scrap them or...? I agree with no longer using {{newcategory}} for any category that has previously been suggested/discussed, but think that this discussion step should stay. That step has brought up a better category title or categorization scheme than initially provided several times already, and is useful. -- Cid Highwind 11:56, February 13, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I had another other option at first, decided it was a bad idea, and forgot to remove the "either."

I'm not suggesting we remove the suggestion process entirely, just the provisional part. New categories could still be listed for awhile on the CS page if we want, but the template and the suggestion that more discussion is required or needed should go. - Archduk3 12:11, February 13, 2011 (UTC)
