Hello, I am new to this site. I am a retired SciFi fan currently residing in AL (just retired. Not retired from SciFi). I have loved STAR TREK for more than 45 years. Ever since James Tiberius Kirk had first "...boldly gone where no man has gone before..." I am currently working on a new incarnation of the STAR TREK franchise (I know, me and fifty thousand other trekkers). Would anyone know to whom I can submit it when I am done? Since good SciFi begins with good science I am looking for some help. I would like to know if there is a star Chart anywhere of the Alpha Quadrant? Or, at the very least, a chart of federation space. Perhaps there is a trekker or a trekkie who is an amateur or even a professional astronomer. Someone who has worked out the chart with the location of populated planets and starbases. Is there anyone out there who has figured out the Starfleet stardate system. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thanx. Nice to meet y'all. Live long and prosper. ~;^}> Paul Diamond pulldigm@yahoo.com
- If you're interested in maps, you could get a copy of the Star Trek Star Charts. That should have official (but non-canon) versions of the maps you seek.
- For a comprehensive explanation of stardates - see stardate.–Cleanse ( talk | contribs ) 01:51, May 25, 2011 (UTC)
Paul, WOW, you're really asking for a tough one here ! I tryed to come up with a consistent map but, there are SO many versions of it, accuracy is just out of the question. I used the below reference in one of my threads. Good Luck, and to my knowledge this image is not copywrited. SWHouston 15:54, May 25, 2011 (UTC) http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/9364/galaxy2x.jpg
