I suppose the first time we see a ship jump to warp from outside the ship was in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Where was the first time we see a ship drop out of warp from the outside - from the perspective of a stationary observer at the destination? We've see starfields gradually slow down around a ship, but it seems to have been only recently that we've seen ships suddenly appear out of warp. -- Connor Cabal 13:23, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
