Hi all! I am new here. I know basically nothing (yet) about Star Trek except for the common popular knowledge. I also know that I am missing a lot. Where should I start then ? TOS I guess right ? and then everything in chronological order ? I also thought I could watch the lastest motion picture since it is basically a reboot of everything from what I heard so it should be quite independant. Anyway thanks a lot :)

Welcome, Tisek! Yes, the latest motion picture is designed for newcomers to Star Trek. (And, it rocks.)
Besides that, TOS is a great place to start TV series-wise as it was the first produced, and is excellent and now with updated special effects. If it doesn't appeal to you, TNG Season 3 is another good place to start, as that's when TNG started hitting its stride. DS9 is arguably the most textured and different series, set on an alien space station instead of a Federation starship. Setacourse 23:05, December 25, 2009 (UTC)
Most of Star Trek isn't written so that it's absolutely necessary to watch it chronologically. The Original Series and The Animated Series can be watched basicly in any order you like, The Next Generation has only a few story arcs. The later seasons of Voyager and Deep Space Nine stated to be full season story arcs, and Enterprise mostly follows the trend. --Pseudohuman 23:32, December 25, 2009 (UTC)
