Ganalda IV was the fourth planet in the Ganalda planetary system. This was a Klingon planet and was the site of a battle during the Federation-Klingon War.
In 2373, Federation forces forced the Klingons to retreat from Ganalda IV. Orderly Kirby on Ajilon Prime theorized this loss to be responsible for the Klingon's increased bloodlust. (DS9: "Nor the Battle to the Strong")
According to Startrek.com, the Ganalda system was located in the Archanis sector. [1]
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (pg. 62), the Ganalda system was located in or near Klingon space, in the Beta Quadrant. This system was a binary star system. Primary was a Class A star with a magnitude of +3, which was ten times the brightness of Sol. Secondary was a Class F star.
