Garin

Garin was a doctor on the planet Bre'el IV.

His planet was being threatened by its moon which was falling out of orbit. He worked closely with Geordi La Forge to solve the problem. They at first surrounded the moon with a subspace field that lowered it's mass so it could be moved. This attempt failed, but the planet was saved by Q. In appreciation for the hospitality shown him by the Enterprise when he was temporiarly stripped of his powers, he corrected the orbit of the moon. (TNG: "Deja Q")
