- You may be looking for gasoline.
A gas is one of the four fundamental states of matter. It can be characterized as a fluid of neutrally-charged atoms that have sufficient thermal (kinetic) energy to prevent intermolecular bonding. A gas has no fixed volume and therefore expands to fill its container.
Common examples of gases are the atmospheric nitrogen and oxygen that are vital for the survival of most carbon-based lifeforms.
