Gezid was a name given to a star by Iko, a Benkaran.

In 2377, at the USS Voyager's astrometrics lab, Seven of Nine showed Iko some of the stars he used to look at in the night sky on his homeworld. He named one of them Paedos and named another Gezid, after a beast. Iko named the stars after the warrior and the beast because as the distance between the two stars always remained the same, Paedos could never catch Gezid. (VOY: "Repentance")
