You may be looking for the alcoholic beverage gin.

Gin rummy (also gin or rummy) was a Human playing card game, noted for having several variations of play.

Gin was played in Las Vegas, Earth as prior to 1962, and was therefore included in Vic Fontaine's program. In 2375, Vic offered to play gin with Quark, who was bored of playing "Go Fish". Quark refused however, stating he preferred to play tongo, which was not included in Vic's program, as it originated on Ferenginar. (DS9: "What You Leave Behind")

Tuvok demonstrated that he was a skilled gin player against Chakotay, while waiting for a traitor to be discovered. (VOY: "State of Flux")
