Giuseppi Verdi was an Italian composer of classical music in the 19th century.
The Doctor called him "a towering figure in Earth's musical history" in 2376. The following year The Doctor declared himself an expert on several Alpha Quadrant artists, including Verdi. (VOY: "Virtuoso", "Flesh and Blood")
Among his works are the opera Rigoletto with the famous song La donna è mobile and the opera Don Carlos. (TNG: "A Matter of Time"; VOY: "Virtuoso")
