In physics, gravimetrics is the science concerning the measurements of gravity (or mass). In particular, it focuses on variations in gravity fields and the graviton subatomic particle. Template:Gravimetrics
Background
Gravimetrics is currently not an official branch of science. Neither is the word "gravimetrics" used as frequently in real life as it is in Star Trek. It's just a fine example of technobabble.
