Template:Realworld Greg Theakston (born 21 November 1953; age 70) is a comic book writer, artist, editor, and historian.[1]

Theakston broke into the publishing industry in 1967, publishing his own fanzine. Since then, he has worked with a variety of publishers, including assisting Neal Adams, working for Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Archie Comics, National Lampoon, MAD Magazine, Rolling Stone, and Playboy.

As a comic historian, a process he developed to restore and reconstruct comic book pages for reprint was named "Thealkstonizing" by Dick Giordano, and the process has been used to produce thousands of pages of comic reprints, including Captain America, Superman, Batman, and Dick Tracy.

In 1987, he contributed art to "Who's Who in Star Trek 1" on three articles: Philip Boyce (with Jonathan Peterson), Excalbians (with Jim Reddington), and Frank Leslie (with Ken Penders).
