Gupta visited Deep Space 9 on stardate 47552.9. The purpose of the admiral's visit was to assess Cardassian movements along the DMZ. Gupta was later satisfied that the Cardassians would not break the Federation-Cardassian Treaty.

Commander Benjamin Sisko recorded a log about Admiral Gupta's visit, which a replicant of Miles O'Brien later listened to. (DS9: "Whispers")
