The HMS Endeavour was a ship of the Royal Navy in the 18th century. This ship was captained by Captain James Cook on his monumental tour of the Earth's oceans. The ship was depicted in a mission insignia drawn by NASA for their newest shuttle, the Endeavour, in the late 20th century. In 2143, this mission insignia was displayed in the 602 Club. (ENT: "First Flight")
Starfleet named at least two of their starships after this ancient sailing ship: the USS Endeavour (NCC-1895) and the Template:ShipClass USS Endeavour (NCC-71805).
