Admiral Hastur was a 24th century Starfleet flag officer.
In 2372, Hastur commanded a task force of six starships, led by the USS Venture, which was dispatched to help defend Deep Space 9 from Klingons during the First Battle of Deep Space 9. The task force also included two Excelsior-class ships and a Miranda-class ship. (DS9: "The Way of the Warrior")
This character was only mentioned in dialogue.
According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (3rd ed., p. 185), Hastur was a good friend of Benjamin Sisko.
