For the TNG episode of the same name, please see "Haven".

Located in the Beta Cassius system, Haven was an inhabited M class planet orbited by one moon. This planet, a protectorate of the Federation, was the homeworld for the Haven natives, a pacifistic humanoid species.

This planet was widely known for its peaceful beauty. Many who visit the planet believed that it had mystical healing powers; in fact, according to legends, "it has been known to mend souls and heal broken hearts."

The Haven government was led by the First Electorine. Because Haven had no planetary defense system, the treaty between the planet and the Federation specified that Starfleet was obligated to protect the planet from hostiles.

In 2364, the USS Enterprise-D visited Haven to receive Lwaxana Troi and Steven Miller's family. Around the same time Haven was the destination of the last Tarellian survivors who hoped that their plague would be cured there. The ship ignored the system's stargate and failed to reply to attempts at communication and was perceived as hostile.

The Enterprise received a plea from First Electorine Valeda Innis to defend the planet from the menacing Tarellian starship. Thanks to the intervention of Wyatt Miller, the Terrelians changed course. (TNG: "Haven")

The original graphic of the planet Haven was also used to represent the planet Bynaus in "11001001".
