Hector was a hero in Greek mythology, leader of the army of Troy.

Henry Janeway compared himself to Hector, when he brought supplies to his store Alexandria Books in late 2000, saying, "Glorious Hector, son of Priam, slips past the Greek front lines bringing much-needed supplies to the embattled city of Troy." (VOY: "11:59")

According to Apollo in 2267, Humans of the 23rd century were much like Hector, Agamemnon or Odysseus, full of fire and with a strong will. This prompted James T. Kirk to ask how he knew of these people, as Kirk did not yet know Apollo's identity. (TOS: "Who Mourns for Adonais?")

This character was only mentioned in dialogue.
