Hickam was a command division Starfleet officer assigned to the USS Bellerophon in 2375. Doctor Julian Bashir overheard a discussion between him and Wheeler about Admiral William Ross having suffered an aneurysm. (DS9: "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges")

Hickam was played by Joe Reynolds. He was named after the Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii which was in operation during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941.
