A Holocomic is a form of graphic novel that employs holographic technology to make the experience more real. They were inspired by ancient Earth comics, which were printed on paper.
When Tom Paris was a child, his family Doctor, "Doc Brown" would always keep holocomics in his waiting room, and they were always no more then 6 months old. (VOY: "Cathexis")
