A holographic imager is a small hand-held device used for capturing the image of a person or thing for the purpose of recreating the object in a holosuite.

In 2371, Quark used a holographic imager in an attempt to create a custom program of Kira Nerys for Tiron. Kira discovered the attempt and sabotaged the program. (DS9: "Meridian")
