The Holy Rings of Betazed are important artifacts to the Betazoids.
In the late 24th century, Lwaxana Troi, daughter of the Fifth House of Betazed, holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, was the heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed – something she never failed to mention in formal introductions. (TNG: "Haven", "Half a Life"; DS9: "The Forsaken")

In the novel Q-in-Law by Peter David, Lwaxana admits, in private conversation with Q, that she keeps the Holy Rings in a box in the back of her closet, and no one, including herself, has seen them in several years. According to her, acting as the Rings' "Holder" is one of several routines she undertakes to sublimate her anxiety over her daughter Deanna serving in deep space, with Starfleet.
