Howie Seago is the actor who played Riva in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Loud As A Whisper". Like his character, Seago is deaf, but has nonetheless made a stellar career for himself on stage.
He had a few other television appearances, including an episode of The Equalizer, starring fellow Star Trek alumni Robert Lansing and Keith Szarabajka. His only known film credit is that of the 1996 German musical Beyond Silence.
