A hurricane is a type of violent storm on Earth. The hurricane is formed by seasonal warm waters allow the hurricane to form. The hurricane starts out as a tropical storm in the warm ocean waters and then forms into a hurricane overa peiod of time. The rating is 1-5. A tropical storm has a speed of 74 m/h. A hurricane can reach wind speeds of 200 mph. The hurricane causes such devastation that people have to be evacuated when it comes to shore.

Most hurricanes originate on the coast of Africa and head for the United States of America and Australia. Once hurricanes reach shore, they lose power as their rain and winds lose more than they absorb.
