The IRW Decius was a Romulan D'deridex-class warbird in an illusory future created by Barash for Commander William Riker in 2367. The Decius transported Admiral Jean-Luc Picard, Deanna Troi, and Ambassador Tomalak to the USS Enterprise-D to conclude treaty negotiations for an alliance. (TNG: "Future Imperfect")
The name of the Decius was probably a reference to the overzealous Romulan officer Decius seen in the original series episode "Balance of Terror", though it's unclear why the Romulans would choose to name a warbird after a junior officer who died on a failed mission a century earlier.
