Icarus IV

Icarus IV was a comet that passed near the Federation-Romulan border in 2266. The comet was crossed by the Romulan Bird-of-Prey during the Neutral Zone Incursion of 2266, thereby revealing the position of the cloaked ship to the USS Enterprise. (TOS: "Balance of Terror")

According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia, Icarus IV was "named for the character in Greek mythology that flew too close to the sun, thus melting his wings made of wax."
