Idran was the primary supergiant of the Idran system. The system was located 4.7234 light years away from the terminus of the Bajoran wormhole in the Gamma Quadrant. (TNG: "Emissary")

During a trip into the Gamma Quadrant in 2369, Doctor Julian Bashir pointed out Idran to Kai Opaka. (DS9: "Battle Lines")

According to the script for "Emissary", the pronunciation for Idran was "IH-drahn". [1]
The Idran Star Cluster appeared in the star chart Data and Picard were studying in stellar cartography in Star Trek Generations. Based on the name, this star cluster might include the star Idran.
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 12, the Idran system was classified as a binary star system. The primary was a F-type star, and the secondary was an O-type star.
