Ilyra VI is, according to Harry Mudd, a "charming planet" that has a "innocent and friendly populace."
Mudd found refuge on Ilyra in the late 2260s after he stole a spaceship from the robot planet he was imprisioned on. While there, Mudd committed fraud by selling to its' inhabitants Starfleet Space Academy. His sale earned him enough credits to get to Sirius IX. (TAS: "Mudd's Passion")
